Turmeric apple crumble

Ingredients for turmeric apple mix

    • 8 apples peeled and cored and cut into chunks
    • 2 tbsp cinnamon
    • 2 tsp red espresso® turmeric latte powder
    • 1tsp vanilla extract
    • 1tsp organic maple syrup (optional)
    • 50 ml water
    • Zest of 1 lemon

    Combine the following ingredients for the crumble

    • 250 ml cake flour
    • 250 ml  oats
    • 50 ml brown sugar
    • 150 ml desiccated coconut
    • 150 g coconut oil


    1. Combine all the above in a saucepan and cook over medium heat with the lid on until the apples are cooked but still firm.
    2. Remove from heat
    3. Add a squeeze of lemon to taste. (You may not need lemon if using sour apples)
    4. Add 2 tbsp dried cranberries
    5. Place the cooked apples in an oven proof dish, cover with the crumble ( do not press it down) and bake in a preheated oven at 180•C for 40 to 45 minutes or until the crumble is slightly browned
    6. Serve warm as is or with cream, yogurt, ice cream or a non dairy alternative
